The Ultimate Fighting Championship released episode 5 of its vlog series covering this weekend’s UFC 223 card on Friday, April 6. Although the highly-anticipated card will be headlined by Conor McGregor’s nemesis Khabib Nurmagomedov, the six and a half minute short shows frame by frame how without needing to step into the octagon it wound up being McGregor who stole the show.
McGregor owned fight headlines earlier this week when he was arrested for leading an entourage of nearly two dozen associates into the Barclay’s Center loading dock following Ultimate Media Day and attacking a UFC bus that was just leaving the venue.  He ultimately wound up paying for acting out so recklessly, with word getting around that he was a wanted man and forcing the prolific striker to hand himself over to the NYPD on assault and criminal mischief charges.
The AMC Into The Badlands-sponsored vlog video gives fans a glimpse into how the altercation unfolded, with McGregor and his pals picking up metal garbage cans, steel crowd barriers, and aluminum chairs to hurl at the vehicle. As the Irish brawler goes off outside of the bus, everyone from UFC VP of Athletic Development Reed Harris and President Dana White, to UFC Strawweight Champion Rose Namajunas and the event’s main man himself, Khabib Nurmagomedov, can be seen reacting from within the bus.
White would go on to confirm that McGregor had been given backstage access by McGregor’s credentialed The Mac Life media platform. He’d also predict his biggest star’s arrest, which came the very next day.
