Tracy Morgan Gets His Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Tracy Morgan is the man. The legendary comedian came from one of the worst housing projects in the country and still rose to fame based on his courage and work ethic.

After gracing the stages of Saturday Night Live and Martin in the 90’s, Morgan reached the pinnacle of his success on the hilarious comedy series 30 Rock. One year after 30 Rock concluded, Morgan suffered a broken femur, leg, and nose, and also several broken ribs, after a violent multi-car crash sent him into a coma. If Morgan survived the projects though, nothing was going to stop him. He made a full recovery and went right back on the road to continue his comedic career.

In honor of his lifetime achievements, Morgan received his own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame on Tuesday (April 10). Martin Lawrence and Jordan Peele joined Morgan for his honorary moment. Lawrence gave Morgan his big break on the classic comedy series Martin, and Morgan regarded him as a brother while he received the honorary star. Looking dapper in a grey suit and black tie, Morgan bent over to kiss the star as a crowd of people cheered him on.

Morgan is currently starring alongside Tiffany Haddish in the Jordan Peele created TBS sitcom The Last O.G.
