Hot off of the release of his latest album, 1UP, T-Pain sat down with Ebro on Apple Music, where he confirmed that a follow up to his collaboration with Lil Wayne, T-Wayne, will happen.
“We’re definitely about to do a T-Wayne 2, no question. I got a ton of hooks lined up already that I’m about to send Wayne, and that’s just how we do it.”
T-Pain also explained that the reason he released T-Wayne was due to Tha Carter V being held up over because of the contractual dispute over withheld money from Tha Carter IV.Â

“Part of that is why I released the T-Wayne project. Because he was going through so much, and he wasn’t able to put out music, I’m like, ‘Bro, I’ll take it. Tell them to sue me! But that whole thing he was going through with the Carter V and all the Cash Money, I was just like, man, this man doesn’t deserve that,” he continued. “I was willing to take whatever I was gonna get for that. That was my contribution to the music industry.”Â
This why I love T-Pain. 😠https://t.co/cEWqTf8CmY
