Sharpe explained he had reached out to Williams last year, and though he was unsure if Williams would actually agree to be on the show, he was pleasantly surprised when he finally agreed. From the moment they started recording, Williams took control of the conversation and went on for 30 minutes without Sharpe even asking a single question. Sharpe admitted feeling torn about whether to interrupt Williams or let him continue. Ultimately, he decided to let Williams speak freely because that would make for a great interview.
During their conversation, Williams addressed some controversies surrounding him and clarified a few misconceptions. Sharpe emphasized that when he interviews someone on his show, it’s their opportunity to share their truth and set the record straight. He mentioned that he does his due diligence to research his guests thoroughly and ask the right questions.
