Although Rich The Kid is primarily known for his work in front of a microphone, he’s also a businessman whose entrepreneurial skills helped him launch his own imprint, Rich Forever Music, about seven years ago.

Some of the label’s most notable signees were Famous Dex and YNB Almighty Jay. However, prior to assembling his roster of talented rappers, Rich The Kid sign with another illustrious imprint as a recording artist. In a recent interview on the Bootleg Kev podcast, the 30-year-old rapper revealed that he briefly signed with TDE during the company’s legendary run with Kendrick Lamar. Although the short-lived business partnership failed to yield an official album release, Rich The Kid shared that he inked a deal with TDE back in 2017, before the release of his hit single featuring Kendrick Lamar called, “New Freezer.”
