Emerging rapper Young Greatness was reportedly fatally shot in his hometown of New Orleans. The shootout allegedly took place outside the Elysian Fields Avenue Waffle House in Louisiana.

Young Greatness, born Theodore Jones, was reportedly pronounced dead upon law enforcement’s arrival to the scene. The Cash Money Records signee is best known for his 2015 single “Moolah,” which peaked at No. 85 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 2016, while Jones was still a member of the Quality Control roster. He was 34 years old.

Back in 2016, New Orleans rapper Young Greatness spoke to VladTV about Boosie saying that most rappers die in their own city because of the hate and jealousy surrounding them. Before his untimely death , Young Greatness told VladTV that he doesn’t fear anyone but God, and added that he wasn’t going to be held back from doing anything in his own city that he wanted to do.
