Queen Latifah confirmed her relationship with Eboni Nichols during her acceptance speech at last night’s 2021 BET Awards after years of sidestepping questions regarding her sexual orientation.
The rapper and actress was the recipient of BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award and acknowledged her longtime partner, and the couple’s son, during her emotional acceptance speech. Queen Latifah thanked her family, friends, and team for their roles in her success. During her closing remarks, she highlighted her partner and son before calling attention to Pride Month. Queen Latifah and Eboni Nichols reportedly met on the set of “Dancing With the Stars” in 2009, but didn’t start dating until 2013. Nichols was a former Los Angeles Lakers Girl dancer and now works as a professional choreographer.
