Former President Barack Obama has made it customary to list his favorite songs of the year toward the end of the calendar.
For 2021, Obama’s selection is quite eclectic including tracks from Cardi B, Nas, Lil Nas X, the late Mo3, and Isaiah Rashad. The 27-track list was curated for Spotify and ranged from pop, indie rock, reggaeton, and rap. “I’ve always enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music, so it’s no surprise that I listened to a little bit of everything this year,” he wrote on Instagram. “I hope you find a new artist or song to add to your own playlist.”
