According to reports, the estate of Nipsey Hussle has rejected a singerās claim of being owed royalties from an appearance on the late rapperās āVictory Lapā album.
Singer Tasleema Yasin noted that she wasnāt adequately compensated for her work on the popular track for the Los Angeles star. Yasin previously filed court documents related to her inclusion on the song in September 2019, and now it has been revealed that Hussleās estate rejected the claims. Court documents surfaced with Yasin saying she collaborated with Nipsey in November 2016 and that she was heard āascending four-note vocal phrase featured throughout the songās runtime, as well as a countermelody in my higher register featured prominently during the songās chorus.ā Yasin went on to say she didnāt give her permission for her vocals to be used and hasnāt been paid any royalties for her appearance.
Yasin wants to be paid royalties that she is owed, but her claims have been rejected by Nipās brother Blacc Sam, who is reportedly handling the matter. As of now, there has been no reason listed for the rejection by the estate.
