Nipsey Hussle’s Brother Reveals Family Is Still Fighting for Custody of His Daughter

In 2019, it was revealed that a custody battle was brewing over Nipsey Hussle’s daughter Emani.

Court documents showed that Sam Asghedom filed a third status report related to Nipsey’s probate case. The latest news from Sam found him noting all issues except one were resolved—the guardianship of Emani Asghedom, which is still pending. Nipsey’s family accused Emani’s mother of being an unfit parent, saying the child would be well taken care of if she was with them. Sam says mediation has been scheduled, but a resolution hasn’t been reached. Previously, Sam and his sister Samantha Smith were appointed as guardians of Emani after a judge awarded the title. However, Tanisha Foster pleaded with the court earlier this year to have the guardianship dissolved.
