Nipsey Hussle’s final release before his death, “Racks in the Middle” featuring Roddy Richh and Hit-Boy, was nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
DJ Khaled and John Legend’s collaboration with Nipsey, “Higher,” also landed a nomination for Best Rap/Sung Performance. Nipsey’s Victory Lap was nominated for a Best Rap Album in 2019, but lost out to Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy. Lizzo led the pack with 8 nominations, including for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. She was followed by Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X, who grabbed six nominations each.
