While appearing recently on TODAY promoting Fightland, 50 Cent revealed a new Street Fighter track with Eminem and unreleased 2Pac vault vocals.
While promoting Fightland, which premieres July 31 on STARZ, 50 casually revealed he’s got a new record featuring both Eminem and the late 2Pac. “I did something currently, me and Eminem and Tupac,” he told the hosts. “It’s actually for the theme for Street Fighter, the movie.” The song is built around real, previously unreleased vault recordings from Pac and doesn’t involve any AI-generated vocals, a distinction 50 went out of his way to make. As the music industry continues to wrestle with what’s acceptable regarding AI and posthumous releases, this one comes with the estate’s full endorsement. “We worked on it, and got it right,” he said, adding that Pac’s family and estate “loved it.”
What makes this moment genuinely historic is that no official record has ever put Eminem and 2Pac on the same track. Pac was murdered in 1996, five years before Em became the biggest name in rap, so the two never got a chance to share a record while Pac was alive.
