Nelly‘s birthday is November 2, but his girlfriend Ashanti kicked off the celebration early by gifting him his childhood dream car.
The rapper celebrated his birthday with a “G.I. Moe” themed Halloween party in Atlanta. At some point, during the celebration, Ashanti surprised her man with his dream car. In the various videos circulating online, Nelly appears to become overwhelmed with emotion as he took in his royal blue 64 Chevy Impala. The rapper, whose real name is Cornell Haynes Jr., said aside from his kids, the car was the best gift he’s ever received. Ashanti gave Nelly a few hugs and kisses before instructing him to hop in and then she told the DJ to play “Ride Wit Me.”
