NBA YoungBoy’s done with the States, and he’s making South Korea his permanent home, telling Funny Marco he’s never moving back to America.

During a sit-down with Funny Marco on Open Thoughts, the rapper revealed he’s currently living in South Korea and has zero plans to ever return to the United States. When Marco asked if he’d ever consider moving back to the States, YoungBoy’s response was immediate and definitive: “Never in life.”

The shift represents a dramatic change from his previous setup in Utah, where he’d been living on a sprawling ranch after his legal team successfully argued that relocating would keep him out of trouble. Neighbours there were warming up to his presence, but YoungBoy’s found something different in Korea. He explained that the country offers him a sense of freedom he couldn’t find at home. The cleanliness, the safety, the overall energy of the place just hits different when you’re trying to escape years of trauma and legal battles.

YoungBoy’s been through a lot. Prison time, mental health struggles, and the weight of fame all took their toll. He’s consistently used his music to process that pain, but lately, music isn’t even his main focus anymore. During the interview, he revealed that a doctor diagnosed him with a swollen heart on the left side, something he’s been dealing with while continuing to perform. When it comes to his future, YoungBoy’s keeping it real about his plans. He said he’s got one or two more albums left in him before he steps away from the industry entirely.
