Montell Jordan talked about how he lost his job following a talent showcase where his coworkers were present.
They apparently knew that he wouldn’t be with the company long in order to pursue music and fired him before he had actually established himself as an artist. Montell said that since he hadn’t yet signed a record deal, he was out of options, so he jumped on welfare to take care of his basic needs so he could pour himself into the music.
