In honor of Black History Month, the city of Miami, in conjunction with the mayor, unveiled a Black History themed police cruiser that’s drawing the ire of many.
“This is a beautiful collaboration to commemorate Black history and Black History Month and the history of African Americans and our police department and our city,” Mayor Francis X. Suarez said during the unveiling event. “This is Black history.”
Needless to say, the cruiser being wrapped in black history slogans and symbols is hardly black history.
