Dressed as the popular Bleach anime character Yoruichi Shihōin, Megan took the stage at the DreamCon on May 30th to announce that she’s collaborating with Carl Jones (who worked on The Boondocks) for the new project.
The announcement was met with loud cheers from the crowd, many of whom were dressed in cosplay and anime-inspired outfits. Megan Thee Stallion revealed that the series will reflect her personal style, humour and love for strong female characters. The conversation, moderated by streamer Briana Williams, also known as Storymodebae, touched on Megan’s growing business empire.
She spoke about her swimwear line, Hot Girl Swim, her tequila brand, Chicas Divertidas and her ownership of several Popeyes franchises. The anime series does not yet have a release date, but it will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
