Marvel fans were treated to a nice surprise during the Big Game as Marvel Studios unveiled a brand-new trailer and poster for Thunderbolts*—the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Marvel Studios also announced that the experimental band Son Lux will compose the film’s score, adding an innovative musical touch to the high-stakes adventure.
In Thunderbolts, Marvel Studios assembles a team like no other, bringing together some of the MCU’s most complex characters: Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and John Walker (Wyatt Russell). The unlikely group finds themselves ensnared in a deadly trap orchestrated by the enigmatic Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). With their lives on the line, these disillusioned outcasts must undertake a perilous mission that forces them to confront their darkest pasts. Will they self-destruct, or will they rise above their fractured history to forge a new legacy?
Jake Schreier directs Thunderbolts with Kevin Feige producing. Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez and Scarlett Johansson serve as executive producers.
