Marvel has pushed full speed ahead with their cinematic universe, with works like ‘Black Panther’ leading the charge into the brand’s future.
The tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman caused many questions to arise about the future of the iconic franchise, and now a VP from Marvel noted they would never recast the legendary role once played by Boseman. During an episode of the ’The Ringer-Verse’ podcast, Nate Moore—MCU VP of Development said they don’t have any plans on replacing Boseman with any actor to fill the shoes of T’Challa.
MCU VP of Development Nate Moore puts to rest any discussion about recasting the character of T’challa as Black Panther. Says he talked with Ryan Coogler about it, and “we just couldn’t do it” more on @RingerVerse. T’challa is gone guys you agree or no? pic.twitter.com/MYoWKyqlmF
