Marvel has just released the first official trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, the second film in the series to star Tom Holland.
What can be derived from the trailer is that Peter Parker will be joining his high-school classmates on a school trip to Europe, where he’ll be recruited for a mission by Nick Fury, the Avengers ally once again played by Samuel L Jackson. What’s unique about the film’s timeline is that currently Spider-Man is thought to be ‘dead’ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, after Thanos snapped his fingers at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.
Nonetheless, what the trailer does indicate is that Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, and Zendaya will all reprise their respective roles, while reports also suggest that Michael Keaton will be back as Adrian Toomes aka Vulture.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to be released on July 5th, 2019, following the releases of Captain Marvel in March as well as Avengers: Endgame in April.
