Lil Wayne recently sat down with Maverick Carter on his Mavericks show, where he revealed his GOAT verse, which he said earned him respect from New York rappers.Â
Wayne explained, “To me to this day, my best verse is going to always be my first solo song on the Hot Boys album. It was a song called ‘Block Burner.’ I don’t curse at all on that. And so when we would go do shows and stuff in New York, like just stuff in New York like even a TV show or something – if they had another New York artist on that, they would always pull me to the side and let me know like, ‘Bro, I respect that you rap like that and don’t cuss.'”Â
The song was on the Hot Boys 1997 debut album, Get It How U Live!, and Lil Wayne was just 15 when the song was released.
