Lil Nas X is continuing to make history with his hit song “Old Town Road,” which is now the longest-running hip-hop song on the Billboard Hot 100 after spending 13 consecutive weeks on the chart.

The popular song has surpassed Black Eyed Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow,” Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again,” and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road” and Brandy and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine” are the only other two songs to have spent 13 consecutive weeks at the number one spot.

This comes after Lil Nas X came out on social media at the end of Pride Month. He wrote in a post, “Some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone fwm no more. But before this month ends I want y’all to listen closely to ‘C7osure.'” He later added that he thought he made his announcement obvious for anyone questioning him.
