The “Old Town Road” singer, 26, bizarrely strolled down a busy LA street in nothing but white underwear and cowboy boots, as seen in a video obtained by TMZ, before cops reportedly took him to the hospital.
A spokesperson for the LAPD, who didn’t give the name of the suspect, told The Post: “This morning, around 5:50 a.m., officers responded to the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard for a nude man walking in the street. Upon arrival, the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose.” They also said the suspect was “placed under arrest for Battery on a Police Officer.
According to TMZ, Nas was roaming around Ventura Boulevard at around 4 a.m. A fan who drove past Nas reportedly heard the singer say he was heading to a party. The Grammy winner placed an orange traffic cone on his head at one point during the incident. After police were called to the scene, Nas reportedly charged at the officers before they subdued him and put him in handcuffs, per the outlet. Several people in the area contacted authorities, fearing a possible overdose. When officers arrived, they found Lil Nas X still in the street. Law enforcement sources said he charged at officers, who then restrained him and placed him in handcuffs before calling paramedics. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains under medical care. Police said charges may still be filed depending on the outcome of the investigation.
