The interview started with the music executive explaining how he and Babyface joined forces as members of the band, The Deele. After the band recorded their demo, they eventually signed a record deal with SOLAR Records. Reid praised the label’s founder, Dick Griffey, and compared him to Berry Gordy. Later on, LA Reid explained his and Babyface’s decision to move to Atlanta after finding success writing and producing for other acts.
