Following a 13-week break, Kendrick Lamar returns to the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart with “DAMN.” Billboard reports that it’s the discs fourth week overall at number one. The best performance by an album since “Starboy” from The Weeknd spent five weeks atop the list in earlier this year.
“DAMN” sold just under 47,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 10, according to Nielsen Music, to soar past it’s competition. It sold 603,000 equivalent album units in its first week following an April 14 release. “DAMN.” has since been certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
