Kendrick Lamar followed through on a heartfelt promise by welcoming 7-year-old Romell Frazier Jr. to Los Angeles after the Detroit boy survived a devastating dog attack that resulted in the loss of both arms.
New video circulating online shows Romell meeting Lamar in person, transforming a birthday video call into an unforgettable journey for the young survivor. Several accounts report that K-Dot hosted a private birthday celebration, surprised Romell with gifts and arranged VIP experiences at Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood.
Romell was tragically attacked by two pit bulls in Detroit on March 19. He suffered severe injuries to his arms, right calf and left foot, requiring numerous operations and the amputation of both arms. He spent nearly two months hospitalized and had to relearn how to walk. His mother, Preshauna Jones, has helped him navigate daily life while doctors prepare him for additional procedures and eventual prosthetics.
Romell expressed a wish to meet Lamar before his seventh birthday. His story reached the Compton rapper, who surprised him with a video call July 31. K-Dot also told Romell, “You got a beautiful life to live,” before inviting him and his mother to Los Angeles. Weeks later, that invitation became reality. Newly released footage shows Lamar spending time with Romell during a personal celebration created specifically for him.
