Pulitzer Prize-winning musical artist and Compton, CA native Kendrick Lamar is the subject of a new biography written by Marcus J. Moore.
The book focuses on K. Dot’s “extraordinary, triumphant story of a modern lyrical prophet and an American icon who has given hope to those buckling under the weight of systematic oppression.”
Moore announced the Oct. 13 release of The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignited the Soul of Black America earlier this week via Twitter. This is the first biography of the decorated artist and is the first book release of longtime journalist and music critic Marcus J. Moore.
After almost two years, I can thankfully say this: “The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignited the Soul of Black America” is out 10/13 via @AtriaBooks.
