Kanye West made his return to Twitter early Monday after being locked out for his antisemitism.
However, the controversial music producer and fashion designer continued to thumb his nose at detractors by tweeting out “Shalom :).” This tweet was preceded by Ye’s message, “Testing Testing Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked.”
Ye getting his Twitter back comes on the heels of Elon Musk restoring the accounts of some of the more divisive figures on Twitter including Jordan Peterson, former President Trump, and Project Veritas among many others. The news of Ye being back on Twitter and his “Shalom” tweet also got the attention of the state of Israel. “We would very much like to be excluded from this narrative,” a tweet read from the country’s official Twitter account.
