Kanye West recently held a listening party for his upcoming album ‘DONDA.’

The album found many people attending, as well as the rapper revealing artists like Lil Baby and Jay-Z as features. During the listening, West was gifted a plaque to commemorate his moment, declaring July 22nd to be ‘Kanye West Day.’

The proclamation was presented to him backstage after his listening event that went down at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Reports noted the award given to Kanye is called the Dr. Donda West Meritorious Service to Morris Brown College. The rapper’s mother started her career at the historic Black college, and it was noted the college is the only one in Georgia founded by Black people. The proclamation was given to West by the President of Morris Brown—Kevin James. It was noted that Donda West taught at the college for almost 20 years and was the Chair of the English Department.
