Kanye West looked to outdo himself in his hometown of Chicago for the third listening party for his forthcoming album, Donda.

The production value was a point many viewers and attendees raved about, not to mention the set of a replica of Kanye”s childhood home. However, Ye has made some musical choices that left people scratching their heads. Most notably was the absence of Jay-Z, whose verse trended after the first listening party. Ye has replaced Hov with DaBaby, who’s been under fire over his homophobic remarks made at Rolling Loud Miami. What’s even odder was the choice to bring out Marilyn Manson. It appears that Ye was looking to bring together two very controversial figures in music at the moment to generate some shock value, which he seems to have accomplished.
