John Witherspoon was a recent guest on the Joe Rogan Podcast when he revealed that The Boondocks would be re-airing in the near future.

Witherspoon told Rogan that the show is currently in the pre-production phase but he did not disclose of the show’s original production team which includes the show’s creator Aaron McGruder, will be involved with this latest reboot. The multi-talented Regina King who was the voice behind both Huey and Riley has expressed her willingness to jump back on board.

Season 5 should shape up to be an interesting comeback for The Boondocks, especially if the original crew all come together.
