Jermaine Dupri ruffled some feathers with his comments about what he characterized as “stripper rap” during an interview with People TV.

Dupri doubled down on his remarks while speaking with the Atlanta Black Star and explained where he was coming from. He then added, “What people don’t understand is I actually believe that these women that do this type of music should start calling it strap.” JD also said “I think just like we have trap [music], they should call it strap. It’s the stories of their life.”
