Blue Ivy Carter returned to the stage with her father, Jay-Z, at SoFi Stadium on Friday, October 23, adding another appearance to a performance history that now spans stadium shows with both parents.
Jay-Z had some special guests in the house at his recent headlining show — including wife Beyoncé and daughter Blue Ivy Carter. During the rapper’s sold-out concert at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., on Friday, Oct. 23 — the first of two weekend shows in celebration of the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint — his 14-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, made a surprise appearance onstage.
Blue Ivy sat at the keyboard to accompany her dad, wearing a pink-and-blue leather jacket and lots of gold jewelry, along with some glittering blue makeup. After the pair’s heartfelt duet ended, Blue Ivy could be seen giving her dad a hug before bowing, blowing kisses to the crowd and flashing a peace sign as she walked off. Also in attendance on Friday night was Beyoncé, who was seen sitting in a suite, cheering on her husband and daughter, in videos shared on social media.
The pop star’s appearance at the show also marked a special reunion, as her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams sat next to her, dancing and singing along to the performance. Jay-Z welcomed some other special guests onstage on Friday night, including Scarface, who came out for “This Can’t Be Life” and his own classic, “Mind Playing Tricks on Me,” as well as John Legend and DJ Khaled for their 2022 track “God Did.”
