Gillie Da Kid’s Family and Friends Speak Out Against Gun Violence during Son’s Funeral

A funeral was held on Monday (July 24) for Devin Spadey, the son of Gillie Da King, after he was fatally shot. 

The funeral was held at The Met in North Philadelphia, where hundreds of people gathered to pay their respects. Some of the loved ones also used the tragic incident to highlight the urgent need to stop gun violence. George Macon, a family friend, told CBS Philadelphia, “Gillie always promoted a positive image and always talked about putting the guns down. So it’s unfortunate that his son had to meet his demise this way.”
