By now it’s been clear that 2018 has marked the year of Fortnite in the video game industry, however, new reports suggest that children are actually taking their infatuation with the game too far.

Recently Gadgets 360 conducted a study on the effects of video game addiction, drawing conclusions that rehab facilities might be the only hope for the obsessed gamers. “The game is like heroin,” says British behavioral specialist Lorrine Marer, “once you are hooked, it’s hard to get unhooked.”

Sure enough, the World Health Organization has begun categorizing “gaming disorders” as a disease since June, and now parents are looking for mental health facilities to help cure their child’s addiction.
