Eminem made an unexpected appearance at the world premiere of Stans in New York City on Tuesday, August 6, delivering an emotional tribute to his longtime supporters.
The sold-out event, held at Pier 17, featured the debut screening of Stans, a documentary that explores the Grammy-winning rapper’s deep and often complex relationship with his most dedicated fanbase—known as “stans,” a term popularized by his 2000 hit song of the same name. Directed by Steven Leckart, Stans documents Eminem’s rise from Detroit’s underground rap scene in the 1990s to international superstardom. The film combines dramatic reenactments, archival footage, and interviews to explore how his career has been shaped by and reflected in his most loyal fans.
Stans opened in theaters worldwide on Wednesday, August 7.
