Eddie Murphy Working Out Netflix Deal for a Reported $70 Million

Eddie Murphy is reportedly working out a monumental deal with Netflix worth $70 million.

Murphy voiced his desire to return to stand-up while speaking with Jerry Seinfeld on his hit show, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. He told Seinfeld, “I’m going to do [standup] again. Everything just has to be right. You have to get up there and start working out.” 

Murphy’s reported Netflix deal would top Dave Chappelle’s $60 million that he got for 3 stand-up specials in 2017, and the $40 million Chris Rock got for his two specials the year before.
