Drake has announced that his ninth studio album, “Iceman,” is scheduled for release on May 15th.
Waiting for Drake‘s official “Iceman” release date was something akin to… well, watching ice melt. On Monday, he revealed that he’d buried the album date in the middle of blocks of ice that were set up in Toronto as a promotional vehicle for the record. On Tuesday, a streamer named Kishka retrieved a bag from the ice blocks and headed to Drake’s house, where he opened the contents to reveal the date. Drake later confirmed on social media that the album was, in fact, arriving on May 15th.
Drake began concretely teasing the album in July 2025, when he debuted his livestream “Iceman Episode 1” on YouTube. During the stream, he previewed several songs including “What Did I Miss?,” which was released to streaming platforms the following day. He followed suit with two other livestreams where he debuted new tracks and instrumentals including “Which One” featuring Central Cee and “Dog House” featuring Julia Wolf and Yeat, both of which were put on streaming.
