DJ Vlad Opens Up About Why He Pays Artists Like Boosie for Interviews, Talks if Drake can make a comeback

VladTV’s own DJ Vlad recently sat down with Bootleg Kev to discuss the business of interviews, specifically paying artists for their time.

Vlad explained that interviews were traditionally unpaid, but his approach shifted when he saw many artists, including comedians, struggling financially, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

When speaking about his first paid interview on VladTV, Vlad revealed that it was with Keefe D, a key figure in the 2Pac murder discussions. Though Vlad did not disclose the amount he paid Keefe D, he noted that it was a turning point for the platform. Over time, other regular guests, like Boosie, were also compensated.
