In the last few years, it has been reported that heavy-hitting producers and artists have been selling their music catalogs for massive amounts of money.
In 2020, RZA sold off half of his 814-song catalog for an undisclosed amount. No I.D. also did the same. More recently, Zaytoven as well as Metro Boomin, sold their music catalog, with Metro Boomin receiving almost $70 million for a portion of his works. While many have sold off their music, Bad Boy Records leader Diddy made it clear he isn’t jumping at the trend of selling his music right now. While speaking to ‘Trapital,’ Combs Enterprises President Tarik Brooks spoke on plans for Diddy’s catalog.Â
