Charlotte rapper DaBaby is expanding his brand beyond his music empire with the opening of a franchised restaurant featuring his chicken and waffles and other down-home culinary creations.

The restaurant is at 700 Atando Avenue and represents something bigger than just another celebrity venture. This is a mogul expanding his reach into territory he’s never touched before, and it’s happening right in his hometown, where he’s already reshaped the entire rap landscape. The menu centers on chicken and waffles with recipes DaBaby’s been sharing on social media for months, building anticipation before the doors even open. The restaurant will be open 7 a.m. to 4 a.m. daily except Mondays, when it will be closed, according to a sign on the door. The restaurant debut hasn’t been announced, but a Charlotte Observer journalist saw all the signs were up on the location.

DaBaby will be deeply involved in developing what customers will actually eat. The restaurant’s got a fast casual vibe mixed with upscale diner energy, featuring booth seating, a full bar, and late-night service that runs past midnight. This restaurant move fits perfectly into DaBaby’s larger business strategy. He’s not just a rapper anymore. He runs Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment, his own record label that’s signed artists and generated revenue streams most rappers never build. With a full bar and food service running after midnight, No Knife becomes a destination for the after-hours crowd, not just a lunch spot. DaBaby’s mogul mentality is clear: identify a market, build infrastructure, and own the space.
