50 Cent talks stopped by ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live for a chat about life, new ventures, winning an Emmy for his documentary about Diddy, his new movie Street Fighter and more.
Conversation moved swiftly along to his Diddy documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, for Netflix, which bagged three Emmy nominations and won in the category for outstanding picture editing for a nonfiction program. “I actually win Emmys when people bother me,” quipped 50 Cent, who executive-produced the four-part special. The New York rap heavyweight also spoke of his good fortune on getting his hands on that award-winning, behind-the-scenes footage.
In the 2000s, 50 Cent was in a club of his own with four No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100, including a nine-week reign with 2003’s “In Da Club.” In the same year, he made an appearance on just the second episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Speaking with Kimmel all those years later, Fifty confirmed he’s making a documentary series about himself; he remembered the late DMX; discussed his new movie, Paramount Pictures’ Street Fighter; and admitted he was a “little bit” intimidated by Robert De Niro. Adapted from Capcom‘s iconic video game, Street Fighter hits theaters Oct. 16.
