Fresh off dropping a freestyle over Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 4” beat, Cordae paid a visit to Power 106 on Wednesday to spit some bars for the L.A. Leakers.
Nearly four years since delivering his first Leakers freestyle, the 24-year-old returned with a three-part freestyle over the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Kick in the Door,” Jadakiss’ 2001 mixtape cut “Put Ya Hands Up,” and Kodak Black’s recent hit single “Super Gremlin.”
The appearance comes ahead of the release of Cordae’s second studio album From a Bird’s Eye View. Due out this Friday, the LP will feature his previously released collaborations with Roddy Ricch (“Gifted”) and Lil Wayne (“Sinister”) as well as additional guest appearances from Eminem, Freddie Gibbs, Gunna, H.E.R., Lil Durk, Nas, and Stevie Wonder. From a Bird’s Eye View marks the first new project from Cordae since he shared his four-track EP Just Until… last April, while serving as the long-awaited follow-up to his 2019 debut album The Lost Boy.
