Ā Chance the Rapper has recently announced that his official debut album will be released in July.

Chance released the first record off his upcoming album earlier today, titled “GRoCERIES” that features Houston rapper TisaKorean and Canadian producer Murda Beatz, as he also recently sat down with Zane Lowe to reveal the inspiration behind the album.

“The whole album has been inspired by the day that I got married and how I was dancing that day,” Chance explained, “We had a reception with the legendary DJ Pharris. And we all danced our hearts out, It was the hardest I ever danced in my life and I’m a great longtime dancer. Everything in it is all the different styles of music that make me want to dance and remind me of that day and remind me of that night and all those people that were there.”

With respect to how the album compares to his previous discography, Chance previously wrote in a series of tweets that ā€œI got real famous so I gotta lotta eyes on me that wasnā€™t fans of me they just fans of whats popular. My first album is for my fans. Iā€™ll always be immensely proud of what I did withĀ Coloring Book. “Same Drugs,” “Summer Friends,” and “Juke Jam” are some the realest songs Iā€™ve ever written so u dont have to defendĀ Coloring BookĀ to me. It happened, it made history but I did it already. The album wont beĀ Acid RapĀ either.ā€
