Cardi B broke down the emotional cost of her divorce from Offset during a raw conversation with Kelly Rowland, revealing how the pain left her unable to record music or even look at her children without crying.

The Grammy-winning rapper opened up during Spotify’s “Countdown To” series while promoting her upcoming album Am I the Drama?, due out Friday (September 19). The 32-year-old said her mental health took a serious hit after her split from Offset, and it derailed her ability to work. Cardi explained that she flew to Los Angeles to finish her album after dropping the single “Enough,” but the sessions were scrapped.
