Fergie has had an emotional reunion with the Black Eyed Peas at the 2026 American Music Awards.
The singer joined her former bandmates will.i.am, APL.DE.AP and Taboo on stage in Las Vegas to accept the Best Throwback Song Award for their 2010 hit Rock That Body. The new AMAs category celebrated classic songs that ruled pop radio, with Rock That Body triumphing over 4 Non Blondes’ What’s Up? and Goo Goo Dolls’ Iris. Fergie was the lead vocalist of the Black Eyed Peas from 2002 to 2018, when she stepped away from the group to focus on her solo career.
The group got together in December last year to celebrate all four of their 50th birthdays. Throughout their career, Fergie and Black Eyed Peas sold more than 80 million albums worldwide and topped the Billboard Hot 100 three times with 2009’s “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling”; and 2010’s “Imma Be”. The moment felt like a full-circle victory for a group that shaped the sound of the 2000s and early 2010s. This was validation on one of music’s biggest stages, proof that their catalog still resonates with audiences across generations.
