Atlanta radio personality Big Tigger is taking a break from the airwaves as he faces domestic violence charges and prepares to defend himself in court.

Darian Morgan, known widely as Big Tigger, announced on Instagram that he is stepping away from his radio show to focus on his family while allowing his legal team to handle the case. The longtime broadcaster also reiterated his denial of the allegations against him. The announcement follows Morgan’s arrest by the Sandy Springs Police Department on charges of aggravated battery, battery and third-degree cruelty to children. According to an arrest affidavit, Morgan’s wife, Alicia Brown, told investigators the incident occurred during an argument at the couple’s home in May. She alleged Morgan shoved her into an office door, causing a deep cut above her left eye that required stitches.

Investigators also stated the couple’s 13-year-old son was upstairs during the altercation and heard what happened. Authorities cited that allegation in support of the third-degree cruelty to children charge. Court records also show Brown was granted a temporary protective order requiring Morgan to stay away from her, the family’s home and their children while the matter proceeds through the legal system.
