Anderson. Paak and Cordae are leaving few stones unturned in promotion of their new joint album ‘Heavy Is the Crown.’
Announced in August, the 11-song project arrived on Friday (October 23) and easily ranks as one of the season’s most anticipated Hip-Hop offerings. Delivered to digital shelves courtesy of a partnership between APESH-T, Empire, Hi-Level, and Mass Appeal imprints, the opus – home to the warmly received single ‘A Good Day‘ – is already projected to debut inside the Billboard 200’s top 10 next week after its first sales tracking frame completes. To ensure a victory lap in the chart region, Paak and Cordae have launched a promotional onslaught in its support – taking to popular platforms like BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, Chinatown Sound, ‘On the Radar,’ and more to showcase fan favourites from the album.
Hop inside to stream the LP via Apple Music and Spotify, then check out some blazing live performances its creators have rendered across the Web. There were no featured artists. The outside help came behind the boards, with J. Cole, Swizz Beatz, 9th Wonder, FNZ and Hollywood Cole among the producers who contributed to the record. The album opened with “58th Floor” and included “Airbender,” “I’m On” and lead single “A Good Day.”
.Paak appeared on “RNP” from Cordae’s 2019 debut The Lost Boy, their first collaboration. They reunited on 2024’s “Summer Drop” before making the move from individual songs to an entire project. Cordae’s previous solo album, The Crossroads, also came out in 2024.
The album’s cover drew on “Step Brothers,” the 2008 comedy starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. The playful artwork accompanied an album that also dealt with more personal subjects.
