‘Jeopardy’ host Alex Trebek passed away at the age of 80.

Trebek hosted ‘Jeopardy!’ Since 1984 and became a staple amongst game show hosts due to his witty demeanor held together by calm facial expressions.

Reports noted Alex Trebek had been battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer since March 2019, when he revealed the news to the public. The show host immediately got into chemotherapy after being diagnosed but did not have plans on removing himself from his duties as the face of ‘Jeopardy!’. A spokesperson for ‘Jeopardy!’ shared the news and confirmed that Trebek passed away at his home peacefully early Sunday morning, surrounded by his family. According to the show, episodes hosted by Trebek will be set to air through December 25th. It was noted his last time taping in the studio for the show was on October 29.
