Born and raised in Atlanta, Alexis Ayanna is a cultural enthusiast seeking to bring some of her diversity to her music.
Her Latina-West Indian heritage are due to her parents who hail from the countries of Panama and Barbados. Alexis takes her craft as an artist very seriously, singing since the age of seven. She graduated from Tri-Cities Performing Arts High School in College Park, GA, and further honed her musical artistry under the guidance of Jan Smith and Marvelous “Marvin” McIntyre. Alexis is also formally trained as a model and looks forward to partnering with lifestyle brands. In 2014, Alexis signed to Atlanta-based indie label Grown Money Entertainment (GME). Her first single “Balenciaga” featuring Kwony Cash received club and radio play in the Southeast region of the U.S.
Alexis has recently released her 2nd EP “Twenty-One”. With production from Drumma Boy Fresh and The Underdogs, her sound and style is signature to her brand… young, edgy, and sexy. GME has partnered with Empire Distribution for the release of her first EP which dropped in January 2017.
As part of being an activist, Alexis Ayaana launched the “I Hold My Own” Tour visiting and speaking with middle- and high-school girls throughout Atlanta about achieving your goals and the value of self-confidence. With all these accomplishments and many more to come, Alexis is definitely an up-and-coming artist to watch out for from the ATL…
